Content Share is Shopify Application that provides merchants with a solution for automating, encouraging and collecting User Generated Content (UGC) from their customers. In this policy, the words “we“, “us“, “our“, “application”, “site”, or “Content Share” refer to contentshare.io. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is underpinned by our Terms of Service. This page will inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. We are entitled, at our sole discretion, to amend, add or remove any part of this Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage you to review this Policy occasionally to be updated with any amendments.
Personal Information we collect
It’s probably no surprise that we collect information that you provide to us directly. Here are some examples:

When Content Share is installed, you give us consent to process and use such submitted personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all protected personal information collected, maintained or used by Us. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies to improve the marketing, analytics and functionality of Content Share:

When you install Content Share through the Shopify app store, we gain access to the following information from your Shopify account: your full name, address, e-mail address and contact phone number. During the use of Content Share, we collect and store information from your Shopify Store such as; the Customers full name, address, email address, item purchased, time and date of purchase, order history and purchase amount.

We collect information about your device, operating system and browser.

Content Share is not intended for minors under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Social Media

We offer individuals the opportunity to engage with us on or through third-party social networking websites and applications. When individuals engage with our content on or through third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications, they may allow us to have access to certain information associated with their social media account (e.g., name, username, email address, profile picture, gender) to deliver the content or as part of the operation of the website, plug-in or application.

We collect social media user names as well as public uploads and posts from social media sites including publicly posted photographs and videos and associated Instagram URLs, date/time of posting and metadata and caption associated with the posts. To upload User Generated Content, the individual must agree to our Terms of Services and Privacy Policy.
Collecting Analytics
We also collect Analytic information about your customer's use of the Application and your store. When you use Content Share, we collect information about how you and your customers use and interact with the Application. This may include pages visited, frequency of use, use time, search terms, actions and interactions you made. We use this information to better understand and improve our Services, including the user experience and convenience of the Application. How we use personal data

We will share your personal information with service providers, who assist us with the internal operations of the Application. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide their services to us and not for their own purposes.

We will share your information if we are legally required. If we are required to disclose your information by a judicial, governmental or regulatory authority. Where a disclosure of our customers’ information is required by applicable law, we promptly notify our customers before complying with such requirements (to the extent we are not prohibited from doing so) and fully cooperate with our customer’s instructions concerning our response.

We may disclose or transfer personal information to a third party as an asset in connection with a prospective or completed merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving Content Share, or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control.

In delivering our products or collecting and using your personal information, we may be required to disclose some of your personal information to third-party organisations, including external service providers; our legal, accounting, financial or other professional advisors; and regulatory or government authorities as required by law.

We retain your personal data as long as the Application is installed in your Shopify store. Thereafter, we will continue to retain your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and establish and defend legal claims.
Security
We implement security measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information and unauthorized access or use of information.
However, these measures do not provide absolute security. Therefore, although efforts are made to secure your personal information, it is not guaranteed and you cannot expect, that the Service will be immune from information security risks. We use several security measures to protect the information you provide to us.
We protect your personal information by:

Accuracy and Retention
You are entitled to request access to and correction of all personal data you provide us, to remove your name from our database, remove content from the Application, or opt-out of any marketing communications at any time by contacting us at contact@contentshare.io.
